New VIRTUAL Format Overview

The details of our new Virtual Meeting will be made public soon but we promise it will be fun and educational. It will also count on your CV as a presentation at major international pediatric surgery meeting.
Oral Presentations: If your abstract was accepted for an oral podium presentation, you will still do a full presentation on our virtual platform AND your paper is still eligible for publication. The platform will be a LIVE Zoom interactive experience with a moderator and all presenters for a given session will be on the webinar during that session. The audience will be able to text questions to the moderator. Your have 3 minutes for presentation plus 2 minutes discussion. You will need a laptop or desktop computer with a good camera and microphone and we recommend a good internet connection. Your slides will be able to be shared. Please stay within your allotted time and do not go over. You will have the option to pre-record your presentation but you must be on the zoom webinar when the presentation plays so you can answer any questions. YOU MUST REGISTER TO PRESENT AND YOU MUST PRESENT IN ORDER TO GET PUBLISHED.
Videos: If your video was accepted, you will you will still do a full VIDEO presentation on our virtual platform. The platform will be a LIVE Zoom interactive experience with a moderator with all presenters also on the webinar for each video session. The audience will be able to text questions to the moderator. Your presentation will be awarded 4 minutes for presentation plus 1 minute discussion. You will need start your video from your own laptop or desktop computer and we recommend a good internet connection and you can commentate as the video plays. Alternatively, you can have the video play with a pre-recorded audio track. Please stay within your allotted time and do not go over. You will have the option to pre-record your presentation but you must be on the zoom webinar when the presentation plays so you can answer any questions.
Quick-Shot-Orals: If your presentation was accepted for a quick shot oral presentation, it will be converted to an Audio PDF. You will need to create a PDF of your presentation (similar to a poster) and then record a 3 minute audio. This will be done through our event pilot app and its very easy to upload your PDF and audio.
Posters: If your presentation was accepted for a poster presentation, it will also be converted to an Audio PDF. You will need to create a PDF of your presentation (similar to a poster) and then record a 2 minute audio. This will be done through our event pilot app and its very easy to upload your PDF and audio.
